Getting the Lymph System and Manual Lymph Drainage more into my focus...

After I have come back from another very inspiring and informative Lymphology Conference last week, I have decided to dedicate my work more to clients with a compromised Lymph System.

What does that mean and whom does it concern?

In Australia, compare to Germany where I have worked many years in Physiotherapy, we are in need of more dedicated Manual Lymph Therapist who serve people with Lymphoedema after injury or trauma in general and after cancer treatment which can affect the Lymph System either through radiation or Lymph node dissection.

Prospective surveillance and early intervention can help identifying Lymphoedema in an early stage and can help to minimise the long term impact on a patient’s life. I am dedicated to work with clients to generate a greater understanding of the condition and the mental impact it can have. What is also included in my work is developing a treatment/management plan as well as insuring the implementation of self treatment and care. I can provide the client with the relevant exercises and garment choice including measuring and fitting if needed.

Please follow the link below to learn more about how Lymph Drainage can help with your condition and what other positive effects it may has.

COVID-Restrictions lifted for now

Dear Clients,

I am glad that I can announce that Covid-restrictions have been lifted in NSW again and you don’t need to wear a face mask while attending our services at the moment. Please stay vigilant and if you experience any Covid symptoms don’t attend your appointment and get tested.

You still should sign in with the Covid Safe App before entering the clinic in order to support the tracing of NSW Health in case of an outbreak in the area.

Thank you very much for your understanding and I look forward to seeing you soon!

Update COVID19, 11th of January 2021

Dear valuable Clients,

Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year despite the ongoing concerns regarding the pandemic!

We are reopening the clinic next Monday, 18th of January and looking forward to seeing you back in a COVID SAFE environment. All precautionary measures, that we already had in place during the first wave of COVID last year, still apply.

In addition, you need to register your attendance with the Service NSW App upon arrival and wear your face mask at all times unless you have a medical condition that allows you to refrain from it. In case you forget to bring your mask, I will always have a mask available for you, so don’t hesitate to ask for it. Also, please wash and sanitise your hands as soon as you enter the treatment room and don’t attend your appointment if you feel unwell, have been a close contact to someone who has COVID symptoms or if you have been in a hotspot and require to quarantine.

If you would like to read up again on all the COVID safety measures we have put in place over time, please read again through my previous updates regarding our protocol.

Please let me know if you have further questions or concerns regarding attending your appointment.

All the best,

Martina

Holiday Hours & Change of Services & Price Adjustments

Christmas is here again and I will be on leave from the 21st of December to the 16th of January 2021.

During this time I will still be able to take your messages, arrange future appointments and provide you with vouchers as well. So don’t hesitate to contact me at anytime at your convenience.

At this point I won’t be able to take new massage clients on board anymore because of a very busy schedule but due to a limited number of Lymph Drainage Therapists in the area, I am still happy to accept new clients for Manual Lymph Drainage. Please contact me early enough to be able to fit you in.

After more than 3 years now, new prices apply from the 1st of January. Please refer to my the price list on my website.

I wish you a very happy Christmas Season!

Update COVID19, 14th of August

Dear Clients,

We are still operating as usual but reinforce our precautionary measures regarding COVID 19 and ask all clients who come in to let us know if they attended any COVID hotspots that are identified by NSW Health or have been in contact with someone from Victoria within the last 14 days. Also, please enter the clinic through the side door wearing a face mask. We can’t allow more than two people in the waiting area of the surgery and will take your temperature upon arrival too.

All these measures are taken for your own and everyone’s safety, so please also do not come in if you feel unwell or show any COVID symptoms.

Thank you for your understanding and I am looking forward to seeing you in our clinic, a COVID SAFE environment.

Update COVID19, 25th of July

Dear Clients,

NSW Health has updated health care workers yesterday to wear masks in NSW as of now because of an escalation to a moderate risk level (please find the link below). They have also asked for patients to wear a mask if possible and in close proximity. Please bring your own one to wear for your appointment. I will have disposable masks in the clinic as well in case you don’t have one. If you have been in Victoria or in physical contact with Victorians please let me know before your appointment. All other precautionary measures that are in place since the pandemic started apply.

Thanks for your understanding.

Kind Regards,

Martina

We are open…

…and do our best to make your visit as safe as possible.

The clinic is operating as usual with full capacity and a Covid-Safe Business Plan outlined by the NSW Government. We have precautionary measures in place, e.g. offering a seperate entrance and waiting area for clients of Balance Your Life, introducing extra cleaning and providing hand washing facilities in the treatment room as well as hand sanitiser and face masks if required.

Great to see you back!
